The first KyivBookFest will take place in Kyiv
On September 8-10, the Gorodok Gallery and Pochayna Event Hall will host the first professional book industry forum in the history of independent Ukraine.
The festival will be held in two parallel formats: a book fair and sale, as well as an industry forum focused on meeting authors, publishing house owners, and opinion leaders.
The exhibition and sale will take place on an area of over 2000 square meters. Visitors will be able to get there freely to buy books directly from the stands of their favorite publishers.
For the forum, we have 5 conference halls, a summer terrace and two open-space locations. The forum program will include eight blocks that will help reach as many visitors as possible. The blocks include professional events, military themes, design classes, presentation of new books, a children's program, and autograph sessions. The opportunity to visit this part of KyivBookFest will be provided by donation on the festival website, However, some categories of citizens (military personnel, veterans, people with disabilities, pensioners and children under 12 accompanied by their parents) will be able to enter freely.
So far, 80 publishers have confirmed their participation in the festival, including «А-BА-BА-HА-LА-МА-HА», «ABUK», «ASSA», «ArtEk» «ArtHuss», «ArtBooks» «Bilka», «BookChef», «Vivat», «Vydavnytstvo Starogo Leva», «Zhorzh», «Zelenyi Pes», «KSD», «Knyholav», «Koleso Zhyttia», «Mystetstvo», «Nash Format», «NK Bohdan», «Ranok», «Samit-Knyha», «Fabula» та «Folio».
More than 160 events are planned for the forum. Among the already announced guests of the festival are Max Kidruk, Vasyl Shklyar, Ilya Poludyonny, Dara Korniy, Andriy Zelinsky, Maryna Hrymych, Volodymyr Vytrovych, and Serhiy Rudenko.
